Topic(s) Self Measurement Gadgets

The recent influx of inexpensive, self measurement gadgets has created new mountains of individualized data for the fitness fanatic and technology enthusiast alike. The early adopters of these self measurement devices can be loosely classified as part of the Quantified Self movement; a movement that values empowering people with the ability to observe and analyze changes in their lives by using technology that does not interfere with their daily lives. Now everyone who is curious enough about their heart rate, sleep cycle, and fitness can now collect hard data in these areas to help determine what works and what doesn't work for themselves. A near-future application of Artificial Intelligence is in automating the analysis of data collected from these gadgets to help identify areas of potential personal improvement or even early patterns and symptoms of disease.
